INDIA’S
About This Spot
Stepping into INDIA’S on Birger Jarlsgatan feels like entering an intimate world where modern design meets the colorful spirit of Indian cuisine. The space is thoughtfully layered with a warm, moody glow that hints at evenings meant for lingering conversations and shared moments. The atmosphere hums with energy — alive, yet not overwhelming — making it a perfect spot for both a quietly immersive meal and a spirited night out with friends.
There’s an inviting rhythm here, a flow between attentive service and spontaneous human connection. The music shapes the mood without demanding attention, encouraging guests to lean into each other rather than the soundtrack. It’s easy to feel both swept up in the scene and comfortably at home.
At the heart of INDIA’S is a menu that teases and surprises. It reimagines Indian flavors through a European lens, creating dishes that honor tradition while inviting curiosity. The experience is as much about discovery as it is about familiarity — a playful exchange between spices, textures, and presentations that feel simultaneously grounded and innovative. Whether it’s the delicate crispness of a samosa redefined or the rich depth of a wagyu steak alongside naan, the plates invite sharing and slow savoring.
The charm of INDIA’S isn’t just in its food or interior but in the subtle choreography of hospitality. There’s a sincere attentiveness that flows from the warm greeting at the door to the small, thoughtful moments throughout the evening. This is a place where meals unfold naturally — a space where local diners and curious visitors alike feel encouraged to pause, connect, and enjoy the layered pleasures of food, drink, and company.

We ate Lamb Biryani, Pani Puri, Prawns Garam Masala and Gulab Jamun. All dishes was great ! Nice vibe of India's modern fusion. Good service started from a woman who took us to the table and especially Linda. Highly recommended this restaurant.

This is the first time in a long time where five stars is not enough. This night blew me away completely. Every sip, every sniff and every bite was surprisingly good! From the moment you walk in and see the scenery in the rooms you know that this is going to be a great evening. The music might seem loud at first, but just speak up, It's allowed, and it completes the atmosphere. The signature drinks offers new tastes that no other place in Stockholm delivers right now. They challenge themselfs and you with spices that normally would not be found in drinks. The food was super great! Might be a little spicy, and there was no warning about it, but it tastes amazing! The dessert, especially the Mango Sufflé, was amazing. Though the unusual spices in the cremebrulé was a great new touch, it would have needed a bit more time in the oven. INDIA'S is defenetly a place I will be visiting again soon to try out more items from the menu.

Ate there yesterday! The food is good. We had briani and chicken butter masala with Naans. And some pre dishes. All delicious. The service is good. Once they forgot our drinks and we had an extra chicken to pay by mistake which we noticed and they took away. It is a little bit dark in the restaurant and also can we be loud. Overall good and I go back again.

It’s a modern Indian restaurant. Loved the interiors and setting- very upscale. I love that unlike all Indian restaurants this is extra in terms of ambience and overall setting. And since it’s a fusion, menu is very interesting. For eg, there were lobster panipuri, asparagus samosa, tuna bhel etc. There is a limited menu, but it felt so nice with this fusion. Pani puri pipe felt a little less. We ordered butter chicken in the main course but it was too extra sweet, so beware of that if you have Indian palette. Or ask for extra hot. Prantha was very nice n crisp. I give 4 stars for overall setting and ambience and the upscale vibe. Haven’t gotten that feeling from any other Indian restaurant in Stockholm. And food wise interesting menu but it doesn’t have to be sweet otherwise all good.

Fusion restaurant, inspired by Indian dishes, but customised with European ingredients, resulting in a very interesting menu. Loved the starters. The pani puri fusion with caviar was epic, and even the raitha with the prawn samosa was yum. main course was ok. Lamb with tamarind combo was something new, maybe tamarind could be toned down a bit, to make it perfect. Great ambience and excellent service, bit high priced.

INDIA’S is a modern Indian restaurant located in central Stockholm at Birger Jarlsgatan 29. Created by chef Jonas Svensson, the restaurant pays tribute to Elite Hotels founder Bicky Chakraborty. It offers a fusion of traditional Indian cooking techniques with modern, innovative influences, bringing warmth, vibrant colors, and rich aromas of incense and spices into every dish.
